Starting Nursery can be an emotional and unknown time for both children and their parents.
Our Early Years Team try to make this as easy as possible. Our Nursery Teacher Miss Davies arranges a stay and play session for little ones and their parents to come and see our classroom and get a feel for everything before they officially start. Pupil well-being is at the heart of what we do and believe that when pupils are happy and safe they can achieve their greatest potential.
Our Nursery Teachers aim to provide exciting hands on experiences for our students, learning about lots of different topics, with lots of opportunities to be outside.
Children are taught in both Welsh and English by our Teacher who is a fluent Welsh Speaker
Our Nursery classroom is large and airy and has plenty of space for children to explore, role play and enjoy learning.
Children are able to start in our Nursery the Term after they turn 3 as a Riser and we accept new starters throughout the whole year.
Ladybirds Childcare have wraparound directly next door to our School at Nelson Community Centre. Ladybirds are also a Flying Start Centre for our area where children can start the Term after they turn 2.
